Rugged, water and smell-resistant, easy-to-maintain collars!
EV Extreme Collars are made with 1” Biothane® and solid brass hardware. Every collar is made in the USA. There is no stronger, more durable, water and smell-resistant collar on the market!
Features
- EV Extreme collars are waterproof, easy to clean, and much stronger than leather. We love the look and feel of well-maintained leather, but leather needs constant care to retain these characteristics. EV Extreme uses Biothane Beta 520 webbing, including leather-like colors and textures.
- EV Extreme collars use solid brass hardware, including machine-set brass rivets. Most competing collars use plated die-cast zinc hardware, and many hobbyists hand-set rivets, resulting in variable strength. Brass is significantly stronger and more weather-resistant than die-cast zinc.
- EV Extreme collars are designed to maximize strength with features like double-bar buckles and triple rivets when most competitors are satisfied with one or two.
Options
Colors: Brown, Black, Inigo, Teal. Contact us if you require another color – we are happy to stock more as long as there is demand.
Hardware: Our standard solid brass is strongly recommended; contact us if you require different hardware.
Width: EV Extreme Collars come in 1” width to achieve 1000lb test strength. [We offer less ‘extreme’ gear in ¾” width.]
Sizes: Measure your pet’s neck close to the broadest part with a measuring tape held slightly taught. Space permitting, we will include 2” to either side of the target size. Err on the larger side, since larger than needed can be reworked, smaller cannot.
Typical sizes
- 14 inch target, accommodating up to 12-16 inches.
- 16 inch target, accommodating up to 14-18 inches.
- 18 inch target, accommodating up to 16-20 inches.
- Or specify your own target size. Contact us to quote!
Care
· Periodically check the hardware for damage and material for deep cuts. This is unlikely, but a best practice we recommend for any type of gear.
· Clean with warm water whenever soiled or exposed to salt water or roads de-iced with salt. If needed you can add a mild soap.
· EV Extreme collars are not resistant to strong chemicals or fire… and neither is your dog so best to avoid these.
